INKED in PEN
In 2007-2008, a comic book inker came to AFH, and I participated in his weekly workshop. He taught us all about inking using Japanese-style ink and brush, as well as in Micron and Copic pens. What I do have in the ink-brush style is too large to scan in, but here are a couple of Micron drawings. At this time, I had discovered "Pan's Labrynth," a fantasy movie that happened to have an incredibly impressive faun in it. I was inspired and decided to draw my own goat people. Below are a couple.
"Anne's Pan," a semi-contrapasto faun.

So here is the first faun. I really liked that it seemed that the fauns in movies tend to have curly hair, which I had never before tried drawing. The faun had been sketched out in blue pencil before I drew over in Micron, so the sketching can't be picked-up by the scanner.
"Skeptical Goat-Boy"

I happen to really like the beard in this one, as well as the perspective shown by the horns. He was also drawn in Micron. The eye looks more animalistic on this one, not really looking at anything in particular, while the goat above is obviously focused on something.
